Lashes may also be applied by painting a thin line where the lashes will sit and gently pressing the lashes into the paint until secure.

What’s in Your Kit

Your kit includes a mannequin head, paint brushes, paint containers, eyelashes, glue, a scarf or headband, an artificial flower bundle, three straight pins, and a paint plate.

Instructions

1. Prepare Your Space

Lay down newspaper, craft paper, or an old tablecloth. Keep a cup of water and paper towels nearby for rinsing brushes.

2. Paint the Mannequin Head

Use the included paints to design your mannequin’s skin tone, lips, and brows. To create skin tones, mix brown paint with white gradually until you reach the shade you like. Apply smooth, thin coats and allow each layer to dry before adding another. Most creators find that using a generous amount of paint and layering it helps create a rich, even skin tone and a smoother finish. If the paint feels slightly damp, allow it to dry before continuing. A hair dryer on a low setting can help speed up drying time between coats. The extra paint container can also be used as eyeshadow, and lipstick or blush on the cheeks. Colors will vary.

3. Add the Flowers

Arrange your flowers on top of the head and secure with glue if needed. After placing your colorful flowers, use the baby’s breath and greenery as fillers to add depth and complete your design. Mix colors and placement to create your own style.

4. Attach the Lashes

Apply a small dot of glue and gently place the lashes on the eye area. If you painted eyeballs, place the lashes above the eye. If not, place them along the lower edge of the eye area to create the appearance of closed eyes.

5. Place the Headband/Scarf

Position the headband or scarf around the mannequin’s head. If needed, secure it with the enclosed straight pins.

6. Final Touches

Step back and admire your mannequin. Add extra paint details or adjust flowers and accessories until you’re satisfied

Creative Tips

·       Less paint on the brush gives you more control.

·       Allow time for paint to dry before moving the mannequin.

·       Mix colors slowly — it’s easier to darken paint than to lighten it after too much white is added.

·       Be creative and enjoy the process.
